R3 License Data DashboardWASHINGTON, D.C. – The Council to Advance Hunting and the Shooting Sports (Council) announced today that, following the completion of the funding that supported its development and maintenance, the R3 License Data Dashboard will not be maintained for 2026.

The R3 License Data Dashboard was developed to provide insight into regional and national trends in hunting and fishing license purchases and to help inform Recruitment, Retention, and Reactivation (R3) efforts and collaboration among stakeholders. The public-facing tool has offered free, accessible visualizations that break down license purchases into sales, active participants, and trends over time.

“We extend our sincere appreciation to the state fish and wildlife agencies and partners who contributed their data and expertise to make the R3 License Data Dashboard possible,” said Scott Lavin, Director of Research and Partnerships. “This resource has provided meaningful value to researchers and practitioners across the R3 community, and the Council remains committed to supporting continued analysis and collaboration moving forward.”

Stakeholders who are currently using the dashboard for ongoing research may contact Scott by email at [email protected] or phone (360) 340-3206 to discuss options to obtain a data dump from the Council.
